Responding to the demand for a bike that caters to the day-to-day mobility needs of kids, Woom has created a design that is not only functional but also stylish. The "Now" bike is lightweight, fully loaded, and features a new take on frame architecture. It combines an integrated front rack with a small front wheel, a feature inspired by the world of bike messengers. This not only adds to the bike's aesthetic appeal but also enhances safety and stability when carrying loads.
The design process for "Now" was extensive and involved the use of mood boards and murals to collect and visualize requirements. The design team conducted thorough research on the needs of Generation Alpha, the children of millennials, to ensure that the bike would meet their expectations. The bike's design includes an identity board, a frame bag where riders can express their thoughts or even a little protest, reflecting the desire of teens to express themselves.
The "Now" bike is equipped with a versatile front rack that can support baggage of up to 10 kg, hydraulic Flatmount disc brakes, and wide balloon tyres. The smaller front wheel ensures a low centre of gravity, providing stability and control over the bike. Additional bike accessories can be attached to each side of the front rack, making the bike highly customizable.
The development of the "Now" bike took over two years and involved overcoming several challenges. The design team had to think outside the box to find new solutions to problems that existing bikes did not address. Extensive testing was carried out with children at various stages of development to ensure the bike's design was both innovative and practical.
With its unique design and innovative features, the "Now" bike is set to become a game-changer in the world of urban mobility for kids. It not only meets the practical needs of urban youth but also allows them to express their individuality and style. The "Now" bike is a testament to Woom's commitment to creating innovative, high-quality products that cater to the evolving needs of their customers.
